Helpful Hints for ordering online

(COMMAND-D on Mac)

Good Planning Reduces Stress
Ordering invitations online doesn’t have to cause stress. You can order your invitations once you know the date of the wedding, the place it will be held and the time.

Save the Date Cards, helps guests remember.
If you have previously sent out a Save-the-Date card, then your guests will have the date marked on their calendars and your invitation will fill in the particulars they have been waiting to receive.

Compile your Guest List early!
You also need to have the guest lists from both the bride and the groom so you know how many invitations to order. The best way to get an accurate count is to divide the guest list in half and then add between 25 to 50 to that number. You only need to count the number per household, not person.

Consider ordering extra invitations-You’ll Save $$.
On our website, a warning comes up when you put in your number of invitations reminding you that if you need to order more invitations at a later time, it will cost almost as much as your original order. Looking at the last column to see how much each 25 invitations versus 25 more on the first order will clarify what we mean.

Your Wedding Invitation Ensemble – Each piece serves a purpose.
You need to decide what parts of the invitation ensemble you need to include in your order.
You can have your return address printed on your envelopes.

The invitation includes an inner and outer envelope. If you want your address printed on the outer envelope flap, you check the box under the invitation choice. You are paying for the printing, not the envelopes. We encourage clients to choose the printed envelopes either in the same lettering style as the invitations or the calligraphy style you choose for the face of the envelope.

Lined Envelopes are another option, Pick your Color.
Then you need to decide whether you want lined envelopes. If you don’t specify lined envelopes, you’ll receive envelopes without lining, so if you want the lining, you are paying for the lining, not the envelopes. The site shows the lining colors that are offered with the invitation you have chosen.

The reception folder is the next item on the list. If you are having the wedding ceremony at a church and the reception somewhere else, you’ll need to use the reception folder to let guests know the time and place. If you are having the wedding reception at the same place as the ceremony, many couples choose to add that information to the invitation by skipping a space after the name and address of the location and entering “Reception immediately following”.

The respond folder with envelope follows the reception folder. This is important to order if you need to know the exact number of guests who will be attending and their choice of meal. Our online site offers many choices for the wording. If you need to list 2 or 3 menu items, there is room to do that. The address for the envelope included with the folder needs to be the person who is compiling the information regarding guests who are attending and possibly choices for food. Traditionally, it is the hosts of the wedding, but nowadays it is often the person who has the time and desire to take on this responsibility. Remember to include a stamp on the envelope.

This is a good time to order Thank You notes or Informal notes. Some of the invitations offer informal notes with a monogram choice. If not, you choose the lettering style you want and your names as you want them printed on the notes. Some clients prefer the Thank You on the cover and a variety of choices are offered for most notes. Ordering them now just saves you the step of coming back at a later time to order since you know you will need them and they will match your ensemble.

Now that you know what you need to order, you are ready to enter your invitation information. The quantity is the first choice on the ordering page and that was discussed previously. We advise clients to read the tips link to the left of the item. Also select the link for View All Lettering Styles to see all of the choices of lettering. Do the same with Imprint Color and be aware that there is a $6.90 charge for colored ink and a $10.00 charge for glitter ink (less 35% at checkout).
